Lerner joined Disney in the early 90s and was responsible for opening the company's first offices in Latin America, as well as consolidating the pay-TV business with the launch of Disney Channel. His death marks the end of an era for the regional showbiz, where he left an immeasurable legacy as the great architect of Disney's 'magic' on the continent. 'He will be deeply missed,' stated the global executive. Born in Buenos Aires, married, and a father of three, Lerner will be laid to rest at the Jardín de Paz cemetery.
